Women in the Workforce

The 1920's were years of change. The urban population grew at a rapid rate, while the rural population declined. Prohibition was in full swing; therefore illegal alcohol was rampant and organized crime was a common issue. Science and religion were at odds. Women began to change. No longer were they behind the scenes, with moral obligations and limited political freedom. Now they were in the picture, molding history with their own feminine touch.
